Description

The Ohio State Flag was adopted in 1902 and is the only state Flag that is not rectangular. Architect John Eisemann designed the Ohio state burgee ,a pennant with a swallowtail tip. The ,O, in the center of the blue field is thought to represent both the name Ohio and the buckeye. The buckeye is a round nut from the buckeye tree found in abundance in Ohio giving it its nickname ,The Buckeye State. Thirteen white stars surround the letter O representing the original thirteen states. Four separate stars sit alone to the rightmost part of field, representing the four states joining the Union after the original thirteen: Vermont, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio. Five red and white stripes complete the Ohio state Flag. All Annin Flagmakers flags are sewn in either South Boston, VA or Coshocton, OH. Annin's superior quality is time-tested and meets the requirements of the most discerning buyer.

Nyl-Glo, Tough-Tex and Bulldog are registered trademarks and manufactured exclusively by Annin Flagmakers.

To extend the life of your flag, we recommend gentle care; hand-washing with mild detergent as needed, allow to air dry, and store in a cool, dry place when not in use. While our outdoor flags are built to withstand the elements, rotating or replacing flags periodically and avoiding prolonged exposure to extreme weather will help maintain color, strength, and appearance.

All orders are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. and shipped promptly from our facilities. In-stock items typically ship within a few business days. Every flag is backed by our quality workmanship, and tracking information is provided once your order ships so you can follow it every step of the way.
